Copyright is the way we protect intellectual property by letting other people know which ideas are our own and which are not. It keeps other people from using your work without giving you proper credit. Fair use describes the ways people can use copyrighted materials in their own work. It determines how other people's materials may be used and how much may be used in someone else's work. As a teacher, I would want to make sure that all of my instructional materials are my own ideas or are in accordance with fair use, and I will hold my students to the same standard.
One way to help aid the problem of academic dishonesty in the classroom is to teach students proper citation skills. When students have the knowledge of how to properly cite information and are comfortable doing so on their own, it makes it less likely that they will use others' words without giving them due credit. A way to help improve students' privacy is by modeling safe online conduct in the classroom. If they have a good example of how to maintain online privacy, and they understand why that is important, they will take the necessary steps to protect their private information.
The newsletter was harder than I thought it would be, honestly. I think after completing it, I am much more comfortable with changing the margins and working with more than one column. I think in the future I could probably benefit from using different fonts, but I am really partial to a simple serifed font like Times New Roman or Hoefler (which I used in my newsletter). I think knowing how to use columns more comfortably will really help me do things like this in the future.

I like your idea of teaching citations to your students. :-)
